Why I'm Disgusted By the Republican Party

Seven of the nine current Supreme Court Justices have been appointed by Republicans, and Roe is still the law of the land. How is it that people think that Republicans are pro-life?

Justice John Paul Stevens - President Ford - 1975
Justice Antonin Scalia - President Reagan - 1986
Justice Anthony Kennedy - President Reagan - 1988
Justice David Souter - President George H.W. Bush - 1990
Justice Clarence Thomas - President George H.W. Bush - 1991
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg - President Clinton - 1993
Justice Stephen Breyer - President Clinton - 1994
Chief Justice John Roberts - President George W. Bush - 2005
Justice Samuel Alito - President George W. Bush - 2006

God save the all-too-often dishonorable Supreme Court!

If our generation consecrates ourselves to God and consistently engage our culture, we could turn this horrible trend around. As it is, we have essentially asked God to pour out His wrath on us, and He is doing it.

Psalm 58

Stevens - pro-choice
Scalia - pro-life
Kennedy - pro-choice
Souter - pro-choice
Thomas - pro-life
Ginsburg - pro-choice
Breyer - pro-choice
Roberts - probably pro-choice
Alito - unknown

And to think that Hillary Clinton might appoint the next Supreme Court Justice or two... (shudder)

Pro-lifers are only 30% of the republican party. Pro-life republican voters are a minority of a minority of a minority. That battle is over-- Roe v. Wade isn't going anywhere in our lifetimes.

A few battles may have been lost, but this is a war that we will continue to fight.

The fact that you are stubborn and unrepentant in your pro-choice views makes you a wretched human being. You will receive the wrath of God if you do not repent.

Thank God that our highest court is not completely nuts.

As for the four dishonorable justices who dissented: Stevens, Kennedy, Breyer, and Ginsburg...

Psalm 58:1-11
"Do you rulers indeed speak justly? Do you judge uprightly among men? No, in your heart you devise injustice, and your hands mete out violence on the earth. Even from birth the wicked go astray; from the womb they are wayward and speak lies. Their venom is like the venom of a snake, like that of a cobra that has stopped its ears, that will not heed the tune of the charmer, however skillful the enchanter may be.

Break the teeth in their mouths, O God; tear out, O LORD, the fangs of lions! Let them vanish like water that flows away; when they draw the bow, let their arrows be blunted. Like a slug melting away as it moves along, like a stillborn child, may they not see the sun.

Before your pots can feel the heat of the thorns - whether they be green or dry - the wicked will be swept away. The righteous will be glad when they are avenged, when they bathe their feet in the blood of the wicked. Then men will say, 'Surely the righteous still are rewarded; surely there is a God who judges the earth.'"

Amen. So be it.

And then there was one...

"More from majority ruling
Kennedy acknowledged continuing disagreement about the procedure within the medical community. In the past, courts have cited that uncertainty as a reason to allow the disputed procedure.

But Kennedy said that 'the law need not give abortion doctors unfettered choice in the course of their medical practice.'

He said the more common abortion method, involving dismemberment, is beyond the reach of the federal ban.

While the court upheld the law against a broad attack on its constitutionality, Kennedy said the court could entertain a challenge in which a doctor found it necessary to perform the banned procedure on a patient suffering certain medical complications."

The four liberals on the Supreme Court are set in their ways. Aside from a road to Damascus conversion experience, they are in outright rebellion against God. They refuse to recognize the personhood of the unborn.

I don't feel all that great about the four "pro-life" gentlemen on the Supreme Court, because their "shade" of pro-life is often very gray, and their reasons for being pro-life do not appear to be right.

That said, the four pro-lifers are doing the right thing in being opposed to partial birth abortion.

And then there is Justice Anthony Kennedy.

One man.

The Swing Vote.

Essentially, when it comes to abortion, Kennedy is king.

But he is not the King of kings - thank God.

O that God would reach down and grab hold of this man's heart! O that God would teach this man the fear of the LORD.

Millions of lives are at stake. This one man has power to save lives or to allow them to be destroyed.

O, God! Reveal your holiness to Justice Kennedy! As you humiliated Nebuchadnezzar, would you so humiliate Kennedy! Let your kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
